A few years ago I came across a dubious looking website that covered various conspiracies and unexplained mysteries ( nothing like the level of this superior site 🙂 ). After scanning through 99% of the fake rubbish they had on offer I noticed a post covering ‘The Chinese Roswell’. This at once grabbed my attention and soon I was knee deep into the subject of the Dropa stones translation.
The Dropa Stones – The Discovery
The Discovery of the Dropa stones took place on the mountains of Baian Kara-Ula in 1938. The of Baian Kara-Ula mountains are situated on the border of Tibet and China.
A Chinese professor named Chi Pu Tei led an expedition to this area and came across a strangely positioned array of ancient graves within a cave. They dug these graves up for archaeological purposes and were amazed by the skeletons that they found.
These skeletons were of beings no more than four feet in height and had very large skulls to their frame.
One suggestion from an expedition member was that the bodies were probably that of apes but the professor soon quashed that theory – when was the last time you heard of apes burying one another?
Further Into The Caves…..
So the interest was high among the expedition members – who or what were these skeletons the remains of?
They decided, naturally, to go further into the caves and see what else they had to offer.
Not much further in they came across wonderfully elaborate wall paintings of beings wearing strange helmets. Around these figures there were illustrations of the moon, sun, earth and stars – they seemed to be connected up by smaller dots!
Buried in The Floor
This is where the story of the Dropa stones translation get’s really interesting. As they were examining the walls they noticed they were standing on something uneven in the ground.
On closer inspection they concluded that there was something buried within the floor of the cave so they dug in. They uncovered a large stone that had the characteristics of a vinyl record – it was circular with a hole through the middle of it ( much like a disc! ).
They kept digging and finally 716 similar plates were retrieved from the ground.
The Dropa stones translation
The plates ended up being a lot older than the pyramids in Egypt – approximately 12000 years old!
Each disc was 9 inches (22.7 cm) in diameter and 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick with a strange groove coming out of it’s center. The hole in the middle of each disc was the exact size of 2 cm.
It was this groove that started off the Dropa stones translation process. You see, on closer inspection these grooves were tiny little writings or hieroglyphics carved into the discs!
The language on the discs had never been encountered before – they could find no way to translate it! They were eventually stored away at Beijing University.
The discs were kept in storage until 1962 when a scientist named Dr.Tsum Um Nui decided he may have luck in decoding the messages – he was right!
With the Dropa stones translation complete he got the full picture of what he was dealing with – he then approached the Prehistory Department of the Beijing Academy. The results of his findings were so shocking the department freaked out and forced him to keep the information away from the public.
Dr.Tsum Um Nui kept his promise with the Dropa stones translation but he did not stop his research on them. After many attempts he was finally allowed to publish his findings under the following title:
The Grooved Script Concerning Spaceships Which, as Recorded on the Discs, Landed on Earth 12,000 Years Ago
Sounds pretty interesting doesn’t it? Imagine the reaction!
The paper explained that the Dropa stones translation told a long story about a race of people that traveled here from a distant planet. The people called themselves Dropa and they were in control of some sort of ancient spacecraft that crashed into the Baian-Kara-Ula mountains of the Himalayas.
The scared Dropa that were aboard the crash landed ship decided to hide from the world inside the caves on the mountain but it wasn’t long before they were discovered by the Ham tribe. Now the Dropa had reasonably peaceful intentions on this planet but the Ham tribe did not see this – they hunted down and even killed a few of them!
The Dropa stones translation didn’t really get taken to seriously by the rest of the world – it was initially regarded as more of a joke than anything else. That all seemed to change in 1968 when a Russian philologist called Dr. Viatcheslav Zaitsev decided to release a few passages of the translation in a magazine called Sputnik Magazine.
Zaitsev didn’t stop there either – he went on to preform more studies on the Dropa stones themselves. The granite stones were found to be made up of large amounts of cobalt that would have made the stones near enough impossible to carve – how would a primitive man manage this?
He also put the discs through a test with an Oscillograph and found that the stones once must have contained some sort of electrical charge – they were a type of conductor!
What Happened to The Dropa?
After the Dropa stones translation efforts, researchers turned their attention to the people themselves – what happened to the Dropa?
The cave area where the stones were located still had two tribes living in their vicinity – the Dropas and the Khams.
Anthropologists were called in to determine where these two tribes originated from but they were unable to relate either tribe to a known race. They also noticed that the people in these tribes had a very short average height and abnormally large head and eye sockets!
They were extremely thin characters with a very obvious yellow tinge to their skin color – could these be the direct ancestors to the Dropa?
